Brag-worthy streak cards
Shelf tracks reading minutes and daily streaks while you study. When you hit a milestone — or just want to stay accountable — open the flame popover in the header and tap Share streak card.
Shelf renders a polished PNG with your streak count, last-seven-days activity strip, today's reading time, total active days, and your latest streak medal. The design matches Shelf's dark study workspace so it looks native on Instagram Stories and WhatsApp status.

Story or square, with privacy toggles
Choose Story (9:16) for vertical feeds or Square for posts. Before exporting, toggle whether to show your study goal and today's reading minutes — keep details private while still sharing consistency.
Share image uses your device's native share sheet when available (great on mobile). Save PNG downloads a file for manual posting. Telegram + link saves the card and opens Telegram's share picker with a Shelf landing link.
Where to find it
Header flame popover → Share streak card. Dashboard home also has a share icon beside Reading today and Streak metrics.
Cards include a subtle myshelflib.com watermark for discovery — not a leaderboard, not a social feed. Your library stays private; only the stats you choose appear on the card.
Why share cards, not a feed
Shelf stays a private workspace — no public profile, no likes, no batch leaderboard. Share cards are export-only: you choose when to post, where to post, and what details appear.
That matches how serious aspirants already use Telegram and Instagram — accountability posts in trusted groups, not performative social networks.

What appears on the card
The card pulls from the same reading stats as the header flame: current streak, last-seven-days activity dots, total active days, today's reading time, and your latest streak medal when you've earned one.
Study goal is optional on the card — toggle it off if you prefer a cleaner look or do not want to label your focus publicly.
Affiliate link on Telegram share
Telegram + link saves the PNG and opens Telegram's share picker with a Shelf landing URL. If you have an affiliate code in Settings, that link includes your ref so friends who upgrade can earn you Shelf coins — without exposing your library.
Formats for each platform
Story (9:16) fits Instagram Stories, WhatsApp status, and vertical Reels covers. Square works for feed posts and Telegram channel thumbnails. Both use the same dark Shelf palette so the card reads as premium, not a screenshot.

When to post
Seven-day and thirty-day streaks are natural milestones — the card shows your medal automatically. Daily posts work too when you hit your reading goal and want a quiet public commitment.
Pair with planner: complete linked revision tasks, then share the streak card as proof of consistency rather than hours alone.
Privacy defaults
Nothing posts automatically. PDF titles, highlights, and chat threads never appear on streak cards — only aggregate stats you preview before export. Your material stays in your library.
